Welcome to Point Napier Estate
Due to the current ongoing global pandemic we are currently closed as requested by the government. All guest reservations have been cancelled without charge up to 31st May. We will be contacting all guests with reservations from June 2020 onwards with updates on travel information and guidlines.
We hope that you and your family stay safe and well during this challenging time.
A huge thank you to the NHS, key workers and the amazing volunteers working hard throughout the UK. We owe a huge gratitue to the Police who are under presure to enforce the new laws and abused for this.
Historic family run house and lodge with quaint rooms nestled within 5 acres of mature gardens, free parking and now with fibre optic wifi!
The House was built in 1912 by Major Archie Mackinnon. Archie used the house as a recovery home for injured Royal Navy and Army personnel during WW2. Mackinnon House is steeped in military history, with continued ties not only to just British forces, but our allies in general, as can be seen from the many military crests, photos and memorabilia in our Hero's bar.
Just off the Skye bridge we are the first stop on the beautiful Isle of Skye, and we are an ideal base for exploring Skye and surrounding areas.
There is so much to see and do, such as exploring the stunning Dunvagan Castle, or a hike up the Cullians with a stop at the fairy pools, or why not visit the most photo'd and filmed castle in Scotland the Eilean Donan Castle. Fancy some adventure? We have that to, with boat trips or for the more adventurists why not try axe throwing? Here on the Isle of Skye, home of the talented Danny Macaskill, we have something for everyone. So if it is a romantic break, a family holiday, a photography tour, or an adventure trip, this is the place to be.
What's more, we now offer an online concierge service. Allow us to book your boat trip, or trip to Talisker, and many more taking the stress out of your trip. Just send us an email.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish Alan Maclean all the best in his new adentures, and ask all guests to contact the hotel direct rather than Mr MaClean from July 22nd onwards for any assistence.
